11:33pm: More Ella Hooper icons.

It’s a mixed assortment of lyrics, none of which are Killing Heidi, which is kind of bad on my part since she’s the lead singer. The last set: I’ll using Killing Heidi lyrics on the last set. Yes.

If anyone wouldn’t mind giving me suggestions for songs, that’d be very, very helpful.

Important Note:

Something recently occurred to me. This whole “credit me” bullshit. When you post something on the internet, you have to come to the understanding that your putting yourself out there and making it easily accessible to millions of people. You can’t make icons and then post them while demanding people credit you. That’s a risk you willingly take when you post them.

Therefore I’ve convinced myself that my rules are utterly pointless. I’m not going to demand that any of you credit me, but it would be nice. I mean really, I don’t check up on all of you. I don’t have the time to do that. It’s just nice in case other people see the icon and think to themselves “Gee, that’s nice, I wonder where he/she got it.” So. It’s no longer a “rule” that you credit me in your keywords, but a mere request.

I’d still like everyone to comment with what you’re taking, if only because I’m curious to see what everyone likes.

2:52am: It's been a busy week, mostly because of application deadlines and school work.

I managed to make some icons tonight. Ella Hooper icons. I'll be posting them tomorrow, however, because I am simply too lazy to configure the HTML right now.

This journal should also have a new layout up as well.

6:29pm: We had a couple of technical difficulties yesterday.

The new layout I made? It's being an ass and it won't work. I'm trying to work the kinks out, and I may just start on a brand spanking new layout. We'll see.

More icons will come soon. School started again, therefore my time to make them will be more limited. Hopefully no one will fret too much, or at all, since I doubt anyone cares either way.

I’m liking how these turned out. I think it has something to do with the pictures. Dominique is very photogenic.

1:28am: Second and final Shirley Manson set. I’m liking this one a lot. Maybe it’s because I’m getting more and more used to the brushes.

The lyrics are all from the Curve, which is probably best known for “Chinese Burn” – the song featured on Buffy the Vampire Slayer in Season 3’s episode “Bad Girls”. It’s the song Buffy and Faith danced to.

2:28am: It’s another Eliza set. I finally tried my hand at some brushes and colorization. I have no clue what I think of this set. If anyone has any opinions to share, let me know. I could sure use it.

It’s Eliza Dushku, whom I love, I really do, but I don’t think this set turned out very good. Tread at your own will, but you’ve been warned.

12:24am: Finally. It’s been a while since I’ve made icons. Well … a week. I think. I’m not even sure.

I’m blaming it on the Christmas holidays though.

It’s a Shirley Manson set. A second will be coming soon. I should probably finish another Eliza set though. This one has lyrics mainly from Straylight Run, but a few Garbage ones were thrown in there too. It seemed only right.

10:39pm: Hello, and welcome to my icon journal. After much consideration and the sudden response I’ve been receiving for my icons, I decided to start a separate icon from the regular personal icon I have. (Which can be found here: endless_nights) Now naturally, there are a couple of rules I hold to my icons. They are simple and they can be found below. So far I’ve had no problems when it comes to stealing, but if anyone ever sees anything suspicious, please feel free to drop me a line. I have no problem with people using my icons (that’s kind of what this is for, obviously), I just ask that credit is given where credit is due.

A.) I use two fonts on a regular basis: BM mini and Scriptina. I’m pretty sure that both can be found at www.daFont.com.

Q.) Where do you get your pictures?
A.) I get my pictures from a plethora of places. If you see a set of icons and want to know where I found the pictures for that set, ask me and I’ll gladly link you to the site.

Q.) Where do you find your lyrics?
A.) A lot of the time I just work from memory from the songs I love, but you can find a large assortment of lyrics at www.letssingit.com and www.azlyrics.com.

Q.) What’s this I hear about an Eliza obsession?
A.) It’s very small I tell you. Small! What? 425 pictures? That’s not a lot. Psh.

Q.) And monkeys?
A.) I’m not exactly sure of the sudden popularity, but I blame my interest on Tina and Brian. You won’t get that unless you know of them yourself, so don’t ask.
